As RicardoTM mentioned, 1. is unavoidable. However, 2. can be fixed by using magic quotes to enclose the text that was input... although I didn't notice the note being broken by using double quotes, so I guess that part is done right. Full transparency is, as already said, not possible. Not sure what you mean by seeing both the original text and the new one on top of it while editing, so maybe RicardoTM fixed that.1. You can't use <ENTER> to carriage return in a note, only CTRL+ENTER
2. Double quotes break the note (you have to edit the .txt to fix)
3. When updating the note, the pre-existing note's text doesn't become transparent. This means you'll be seeing the original text and the new text on top of it other during editing, and that's very hard to read. This third one, this is the big one.
Just because it's somewhat related, albeit being more of a "diary" skin with multiple pages rather than a "notes" skin with multiple tabs:

I guess the above can be used as a notes skin too though, it's just a matter of labeling it and probably changing the cover image if needed.
