IfConditions are much more versatile than IfMatch, however obviously you can use IfMatch as well. I'd prefer the IfCondition anyway, but this most probably is more a question of personal choice.I actually managed to resolve this myself - fixed an error in one the if match statements and played around with the order of the measures and now it is working as I want: random gif every minute and then on holidays etc it shows a specific gif.

(for those interested in the skin's @Resources folder I have an 'Images' folder containing multiple folders named 0 to 68 each contain gif frame .pngs)
Glad if you got it working as expected. However the testing of the code can be done only if we were have the images. But if the skin is working properly I think we don't really have to test it.
